The historic Cowboy Arms Hotel and Recording Spa, founded and operated by legendary Nashville producer Cowboy Jack Clement, may no longer stand in its original location, but its spirit remains very much alive. Today, that legacy continues through his daughter, Alison Clement, who has embraced the responsibility of preserving and expanding the unmistakable sound that defined her father’s remarkable career.
For the past several years, Alison has been operating The Cowboy Arms Hotel and Recording Spa from her home in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. There, she has dedicated herself to carefully listening to, compiling, mixing, and restoring the extensive collection of master recordings left behind by her beloved “CowDaddy.” Alongside this preservation work, she is also recording new material that honors the original essence of Cowboy Arms while allowing its influence to evolve and grow.
These are indeed big shoes to fill. Cowboy Jack Clement was a true original — a visionary whose creativity and passion shaped generations of music. Recreating the atmosphere, authenticity, and magic he cultivated is no small undertaking.
Yet, there is no one more fitting to carry this torch than his own daughter. With a lifetime immersed in his world, guided by the best teacher imaginable, and inspired by countless memories, Alison is steadfast in her mission to safeguard and continue this iconic musical legacy. The studio will remain a unique recording experience, enhanced by the stories, photographs, and enduring character that made the original Cowboy Arms Hotel and Recording Spa so special.
